It was through this particular dream that he was inspired by how a single piece of precious cloth could be draped, gathered, and wrapped together seamlessly to form a cocoon silhouette, his naturally inquisitive and creative nature already churning out geometric designs and urban aesthetics, mental blueprints to which only he bore witness at the time.

Ashburn’s unstoppable pulsating desire to bring his visions to life quickly spawned ‘Galactic Monastic‘, a series of garments that were birthed from simultaneous notions of a harmonic fusion between good and evil spiritual forces and a pushing forth (a breaking of barriers) in a completely new direction- the east meets west monastic look with a hint of galactic goth.

“Ashburn’s design process is an intimate transition; an extension of his day dream, fantasy and personal life experience. His anti-fashion approach ignores the dictation of seasons, looks beyond trends and shuns the idea that fashion has to be ‘cohesive’ or ‘sensible’.”
