Ideas and desires are nothing without initiative and belief. Some of you might know them better as the peeps behind This Is Transition, an online boutique based in Singapore which aims to “provide the local community with fresh and exciting products” that are affordable as well.

NC and CL as a duo are highly influenced by subcultures and its effects are evident in their creations. An interwoven tapestry of their unique tastes in music, fashion and art, This Is Transition boasts designs with a raw power to them; designs which scream beauty in the dissonance- minute distortions within a perfect form.

AMEN by NC and CL is an ode to nature and everything raw and pure; a heartbreaking song about all that we’ve forgotten. It portrays the beauty of nature, reminding us about simplicity and all the timeless and classic zen-like virtues. Every single product is handmade, personally sourced and reinvented. Lilia Yip is a Singaporean designer/musician who’s based in Brighton, UK. Wasting no time after graduating from the Royal College of Art with a MA in Fashion Womenswear during 2008, Lilia set up her studio by 2009 and was selected by the British Council in 2011 to show a collection as a UK guest designer at the Look of Style Awards in the Philippines.
