Inspired by a beautiful song called “quelqu’un m’a dit”, Allthethingsivedone had singer/songwriter Carla Bruni to take the lead and bring them back to the 70s for their Spring/summer 2011.

Whitewashed walls, blue domes, square windows, cubist houses that look like they were drawn with pencils. This collection by Yuki Mitsuyasu is inspired by Santorini, a little Greek island sculpted by unique architecture and crowned with numerous churches.
Using the cross as a main motif, the pieces in this collection are constructed with simple, clean lines. The unpolished brushed effect, square holes and blue topaz in these jewellery pieces, are reminiscent of the idyllic landscape of the island.
Yuki Mitsuyasu is available at Blackmarket No.2, #02-10 Orchard Central.

XYZ is the first collaborative work by jewellery designer Yuki Mitsuyasu; and typographer and graphic designer Youji Noh.
The idea started with a single plane, with a flat sheet of paper. Initial thoughts then took on a 3D form by way of literally cutting, folding, bending and gluing the paper. Alphabetical letters were constructed, with different planes adding the third dimension. From there, a whole new typeface was created, and the skeletal structure of the typeface was used as a guideline to transform the models into metal.
The final alphabetical charms, their forms made from various planes, are like letters joined by a number of points on the XYZ axis.
XYZ letters can be worn as a single charm or few letters together as a word. Fonts are available for download from the Y+Y website: www.y-plus-y.com
